The Monument dedicated to the Hero of the Community Andreas Avraamides is located within the grounds of the Primary School.

Andreas Avraamides studied at the Primary School of Temvria and then at the Gymnasium of Solea. Ever since he was in Gymnasium, he actively participated in student events. The British authorities arrested and imprisoned him for three months. After he was released, he continued to actively participate in EOKA by distributing, among others, leaflets in the surrounding villages, writing slogans and spying on British agents. In 1958, Andreas Avraamides, along with Andreas Ellinas, were ordered to transfer bombs which had been made to support the teams of EOKA in the Kakopetria – Galata sector. However, while transferring the bombs with Andreas Ellinas, these exploded and he was killed.
